I bought this book while attending a conference in New York. I combined 2 of the recipes and came up with chicken, sausage, shrimp, crab, crawfish and okra gumbo. I use this combination every time I make gumbo. I left my book in Portland, Texas and wanted to make gumbo so bad so I just ordered another one. All the recipes remind me of the movie Forest Gump and are truly excellent seafood dishes. I recommend this cookbook to all that love shrimp and collect cookbooks.
My siblings & I visited a Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurant (in Gatlinburg Tn) a couple months ago, and we had EXCELLENT service and a great time and the food was awesome, so I was happy to find this cookbook which I will be giving to my bother and SIL for Christmas - in memory of our wonderful family weekend together!
I really enjoyed this book and gave my original copy to my grandson. I had made notes on the pages when I made the recipe and changes I would recommend... am looking forward to making more of the recipes
I lost this cookbook a while back and am glad to have another copy. Love some of these recipes. This is a wonderful recipe book if you love fish and the story behind it!
This Cookbook has so many easy to follow recipes and many interesting easy to read stories in it! I purchase it as a gift but now want a copy for myself! It isn't a large thick cookbook however it is full of recipes and stories in it. The Cookbook would make a nice gift but even nicer if you add the Forrest Gump DVD or Blu Ray with it! Highly Recommend
It's a long story but I got this for a friend who loves shrimp as a joke. While we all had a good laugh about it,they truly liked the book and have been excited about using some of the recipes from it. So while it is a comical reminder of the movie, there's apparently a lot of good recipes in the book too!
Not a fabulous book, basically just a collection of shrimp recipes and occasionally tidbits about the Forrest Gump story.
Great book , with awesome Recipes. Cant go wrong with this one
